How Does This Sound?

Alright, I don't know if I'm going to be reviewing movies in the next couple of days. I'm somewhat short on time so I figured..there will be A LOT of movie news coming out from the Comic-Con convention in San Diego so I will update with the more important news that I read about. At the moment nothing too big has come out yet, but on the intraweb two movie trailers did come out today that looks quite good and some information from Comic-Con as well..

The first movie is called called "Children of Men." I read about this movie a month or so ago and thought that it was a very interesting idea. Today there is a trailer for it and while it doesn't look 100% great it looks original and good. Clive Owen is a good actor and he seems good in the movie. Julianne Moore actually looks pretty in the trailer, unlike in "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." Although, that has nothing to do with the movie but I just figured I would point it out. This film is directed by Alfonso Cuaron and i think will turn out to be quite the good movie..I'm not gonna explain the plot, it will probably be more enjoyable to learn it from the trailer. So, here you go:

Let me know what you think of it. To me it has somewhat of an original feel to it and looks quite good. There is one line of dialogue that is weird to me right in the beginning, but. Ehh. Try to guess what line it is while commenting on what you think of the trailer. It's probs way easy. Also, I looove the music playing near the end of the trailer as well although I have no clue where it's from. Really great stuff overall. I look forward to the comments, if I get any.

Next? Well, I was going to save this for a separate post for later but there has been further news! First off today a teaser trailer was released for the new CGI "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," movie coming out in March of 2007. Suprisingly..it doesn't look bad.

Here's the link to the teaser trailer for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Following that, the awesome web page known as Superhero Hype! posted news from Comic-Con as well as pictures of new character posters, one for each turtle. The writer/director, Kevin Munroe was there and showed 5 minutes of film and then talked a bit. Evidently this film is set after the second TMNT film. The character of Splinter is going to be voiced by a chinese actor known as "Mako." I have no clue who that is..that's all that it states. While the villain is NOT Shredder he does make an appearance in the film. This could be a setup for him to maybe be the villain in the next movie. Munroe also said that Casey Jones and April develope a relationship in the movie (isn't Casey Jones the hockey mask bad guy? I can't remember..) Finally, one of my favorite composers, Marco Beltrami will be composing the score. Munroe also said that he wanted Beltrami to make a memorable theme for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," like the theme for "Batman."

I am QUITE excited by this. I LOVED the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid and this is sounding like a somewhat mature take on the series. Oh boy, this sounds very cool. I'm interested now...Very interested.

I didn't want my "Children of Men," post to not be read because of the "TMNT," post being at the top since "Children of Men," looks promising...so I updated the first post. Now that I've editted the hell out of this post let me know what you think of BOTH of those movies and sorry for any confusion due to updating a previous post. Check back in later for sure because I'm sure there will be more news.
