Adam Sandlers Return To Decent Films????

So yeah, I watched the movie "Click," recently and it suprised me. I was prepared to click this shit off...but suprisingly I didn't have the urge too.

"Click (2006)"

So..yeah, I love those lame critic jokes. They're so..boringly un-funny.. Anywyas, First off I want to say that this movie has like..the blandest fucking movie poster ever. They could've done some cool stuff and instead did something really boring. It's a shame.

Regarding the movie...I expected to hate it. The past like 2 Adam Sandler flicks were barely mediocre Romantic Comedies..this one surprised me. Why? It's nicely set up: The first hour is comedy and the second hour is drama. I was suprised.

So the basic premise is Sandlers character goes out to get a universal remote and ends up getting some remote that skips past parts of his life and stuff like that. So it's all fun and games until the remote starts skipping huge gaps of time on it's own...that's where the drama ensues.

So all the acting is quite good. Sandler is a good actor, I wish he would tackle more drama roles. Sandler plays the father, Kate Beckinsale plays his wife, Christopher Walken is the guy who gives Sandler the remote and that's basically the main cast right there. There's a lot of people in this movie because as time moves forward Sandlers kids get older and there's totally different actors for all of them but almost everyone holds their own in this which was quite surprising.

So as I said the beginning is good. It sets everything up nicely and a bulk of the comedy is in this area. There are surprisingly a lot of laughs here too. Something that a lot of Adam Sandler flicks have been lacking. I personally like all the O'Doyle neighbor jokes. Good stuff.

Then the remote starts to pass through huge gaps of time..the drama ensues. Lots of sad stuff, Sandlers character basically turns into a money-hungry douche and loses a lot of what he cares about thanks to the remote...the ending was very..meh. I knew what was going to happen, lets just say that.

Overall I was surprised at how above average this movie was. Sandlers past couple of flicks have really put a stain on his name I think and a lot of serious movie-goers judged this movie beforehand and assumed it was another Romantic Comedy. I did..but lets be honest here, the trailers sure as hell made it out to be a Romantic Comedy. The trailers kept that drama hidden..at least from what I remember they did.

I definately suggest you check "Click," out. It was much better then I expected it to be and while it's nothing great chances are that when you finish watching it you won't feel like you wasted your time..which can't be said about some previous Adam Sandler films (including ones he produced.. *Cough* "Grandma's Boy." *Cough*)

Numerical Review: 7 out of 10
