-Insert Witty Movie Comment Here.-

So this is a long over-due post about the movie "Silent Hill." A movie that goes down"HILL" after the first hour..LoLz, I just made a hack critic joke.

"Silent Hill (2006)"

This movie starts off O'Kay then gets kind of stupid. Let me explain: Christopher (Sean Bean,) and Rose Di Salva's (Radha Mitchels,) daughter sleepwalks in the middle of the night and talks about this place called Silent Hill. One day Rose decides to take her to the town of Silent Hill hoping it will cure her daughters sleeping problems.

The actors are good. I like Sean Bean so maybz I'm a bit biased...I thought he was decent. I hated the lady cop. Ugh she pissed me off. I guess her acting was good if the point of her character in the beginning was to just get me 100% annoyed. The mother is good..yeah. The acting is overall good but the story suffers majorly.

So hears the first bit of silliness. She stops at a Diner if my memory serves me correctly to get directions. This nosey dyke cop checks on her daughter in the car and gets this sort of "kidnapped child vibe." Meanwhile in the diner Rose learns that the entrance to the town is closed off. So. She leaves...drives off. The dyke cop follows her and pulls her over. As our lady officer of the law approaches the car Rose puts the pedal to the metal and speeds the fuck off. -Why? Who the fuck in their right mind would do this? Especially with your daughter in the car.. Someone will go, "D00D it's a muvie!1!" and I will respond with: "Shut the hell up. The movie tries to be somewhat serious..then takes a completely silly turn.." End of discussion.

-Thanks to the mothers wonderful fucking thinking they break through the gate into Silent Hill but then completely crash their vehicle, and so does the pursuing officer. Rose wakes up un Silent Hill alone, her daughter is gone. She goes looking for her. Meets up with the annoying cop character (I was literally annoyed by her character..like what a nosey bitch. This whole thing is all her fault. For realz.) Things go on..yeah. I love the whole idea of Silent Hill...there's like a peaceful time..then that alarm goes off and the darkness consumes the town and all these "demons" and shit come out. I don't know what they're considered but they come out and tear you apart.

Halfway through they learn that if you go into a church you are safe from the demons or whatever the fuck they are. So basically one of the sickest and whacked out deaths I've ever seen on screen happens..and from that moment on the movie blows. It turns into a whole different movie with witches and all kinds of other ridiculous bullshit. There is then a suprise ending that for me was obvious from 40 minutes in. You may say "Big deal..not everyone will notice it." Guess what? I've never called a suprise ending in my life EVER. That's how obvious this one was. I'm usually not very good at realising these things, but this was EASY..

This may seem like an overly negative review but I really didn't hate the movie. Like I said I really liked the first hour or so. The tension and mood set in the first hour was so fucking good. Like I can't explain it. I can't think of another movie that had such a creepy and cool mood this year. Although I will say that the character known as Pyramid Head is fucking awesome...They did really good but totally screwed the ending up..big time. The end of the movie for me felt like I was suddenly watching an entirely different movie. Just bleh.

Also, how terrible is the poster I used for this post? I like the poster and the idea of the poster..but doesn't it look way photoshopped and rough? Like..I could probably make a poster like that if I had the pictures and I fucking SUCK at photoshop and all those other programs. Anyways, don't buy "Silent Hill,"..rent it or get it some other way.

Numerical Review:
6 out of 10.

Thank You Varese Sarabande..

I'm pretty sure I mentioned how I was hoping for a "Children of Men," soundtrack release and how I was getting worried that it hadn't been announced yet. Varese Sarabande to the rescue! Varese today announced a soundtrack release for "Children of Men." It will be released December 21st and will contain score music by composer John Taverner.

It will also include music by Gustav Mahler, George Frideric Handel and Krzysztof Penderecki. I have no clue who those people are but I hope the music included by them is good. I'm hoping there's a good amount of score on the CD. So...excited...

The Internet is Huge..

Despite the internets "hugeness," guess what site is still getting hit up on Google and all the other search engines? ...Mine. I'm suprised actually. I've gotten about 8 visits over the past two weeks from search results. That's not much I know but usually I'm lucky if I get one or two. So what is this post about? This completely off-topic post is my list of the top 4 searches where my site is part of the results.

4. "Bagtatta@optonline.net": This isn't so much funny as it is just creepy. To be honest, it creeps the hell out of me..Someone somewhere is searching my E-Mail address up. Am I the only one who thinks that's kind of creepy?

3. "pictures of cast members from gillians island": Ha...this is somewhat funny (trust me it gets better.) This person obviously wanted to type "pictures of cast members from gilligans island," but missed the second "g" in Gilligan.

2. "asshole Anonymous movie": ...First off. Who the hell feels the need to search for this? What are they trying to find that they type asshole Anonymous movie into the search engine. I have no clue. Second: My page is the first page to come up when searching for this. How funny is that? All because of this post I made right here.. In regards to that post, anonymous commenting is allowed. Since I started regularly posting on here again I've turned it back on...I'm cool like that.

1. "Tea Leoni is a bitch": Yes, this is my favorite one so far. This is hilarious on so many different levels. Once again, who the hell looks this stuff up and what kind of information are they trying to find? Like..are they expecting to find personal accounts of people complaining about how big of a jerk Tea Leoni is? I don't know man, I don't know. Also for the record I'm 95% sure I never called Tea Leoni a bitch. If I recall correctly I just said that she did a shitty acting job in "Jurassic Park 3."

There you have it..my top 4 so far. Hopefully there will be more to come. I'll have something up tomorrow maybe or the day after. -This is the end....

Sppaaartttaaannnss!

Hey everyone! I decided to make a quick post about some news for the movie "300." which comes out early next year. The news is 3 or so days old so forgive me on the lateness. Thanks. "300" looks amazing...and I've been anticipating it since the day it was announced. Just the subject matter alone made me want to see it.

Here's the plot summary off of IMDB: "300" concerns the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world's first democracy."

The movie is based off a graphic novel by Frank Miller. I've never read the book but at the time the movie was announced I was learning about the Spartans and it's real interesting stuff. If you like history I definately suggest you check it out.

Back to the movie.."300," is directed by Zack Snyder who directed the "Dawn of the Dead," remake and is set to direct the big screen adaptation of "Watchmen." I thought the "Dawn of the Dead," remake was good..but a couple of days ago I saw a video that pretty much confirmed everything I thought about Zack Snyder... That he is going to be fucking HUGE.

Within the past couple of days a promo trailer for the flick came out and it pretty much solidified the fact that the movie is going to kick all sorts of ass. Click here for the awesomeness!

IMDB Link for "300."

I'll have a totally off-topic but fun post tomorrow. I promise.

Don't You Hate Anticipation? My List Arrives!

Hey guys, I'm here to present my most anticipated winter movies. I've been really busy working on my radio show actually and stuff with the radio station and am finally getting around to doing this. So the winter movie season is basically Oscar season. A lot of the movies that come out in the winter the studio is confident it could be oscar-worthy.

Really quick I want to say that I'm not doing this because of the Oscars or any of that shit, there's just a lot of movies that are coming out that I am anticipating. Keep in mind not all the movies are oscar-worthy but a huge majority of them the studio believes are oscar-worthy. So now that's out of the way...lets start!

"Casino Royale": James Bond takes a turn for the better. Back to gritty raw action instead of that lame-ass over the top hollywood action. I don't want to go and see a spy movie where this super spy gets a car to drive on it's fucking side for like 30 seconds. I want to see this dude tearing shit up like a real spy, cold blood fucking murder. Daniel Craig is gonna be a good Bond but I really think Clive Owen would've been a better Bond. Clive Owen is just bad-ass and a great actor. Unfortunately with the "rebirth," of James Bond we have a new Bond song..by Audioslave/Soundgardens frontman Chris Cornell. The song, SUCKS. It's fucking terrible. I'm starting to hate Chris Cornell and his annoying voice. If anyone listened to my show on the radio station last night you heard me bitching about this but Cornell SUCKS, as does the song. It doesn't sound anything like a Bond song. If I had heard it apart from the movie I'd be like "What the fuck is this?" Anyways, while Cornells Bond track sucks ass I hope David Arnolds score is good. Overall the movie looks like it will be a great "rebirth," of the Bond series..which truly needed it. Casino Royale opens November 17th.

"The Fountain": I've never seen anything by Darren Aronofsky but this looks wonderful and is getting wonderful reviews. My big problem is that the trailer doesn't explain the plot to much...it just shows visuals and tries to get the story across visually. Only it doesn't. At least it didn't for me. If you're like me and didn't get it here's the plot outline off IMDB "As a 16th-century conquistador, Tom (Jackman) discovers the Tree of Life. He spends the next 1,000 years searching for a way to save his love, Izzi (Weisz), as he begins to develop an understanding of the mysteries that have plagued him for centuries." Doesn't that sound great? I'm confident the movie will be fucking amazing. From what I read this Darren Aronofsky's dream projects so that just enforces my high expectations. The Fountain comes out November 24th.

"Flags of our Fathers": The first film out of the two Clint Eastwood directed films about Iwo Jima. Clint Eastwood has dome something totally cool..if you haven't heard about this yet, brace yourself. He's made two films focusing on Iwo Jima..one tells the story from the American point of view and the other tells it from the Japanese point of view. At points the two movies will intersect..just so cool! Anyways, this is the film that focuses on the American point of view and I've got pretty high expectations for this film. The only thing that makes me worry about this movie is it's scripted by that douche bag Paul Haggis. You know? The douche who directed and scripted that piece of shit "Crash." You can make a good movie about racism without exaggerating, until then..fuck Paul Haggis. Then after that movie comes out, fuck Paul Haggis still. So mad "Crash," got best picture..Clint Eastwoods "Flags of our Fathers," for the win! Flags of our Fathers comes out October 20th.

"The Marine": This movie stars John Cena of the WWE and he plays a marine looking to take out a fugitive that kidnapped his girlfriend and left him for dead. Yeah, I'm not anticipating this. I'm just fucking with you guys. I guarentee this movie sucks, to the one millionth degree. The Marine should never be released and every print should be destroyed.

"The Prestige": Christopher Nolan rocks and will most likely contunie to rock. "Batman Begins," is awesome and this movie looks damn good as well. It's about rival magicians. This isn't my most anticipated film..but I am looking forward too it big-time. The Prestige comes out October 20th.

"Bug": O'Kay...this isn't an oscar movie, but I think the movie looks cool. At first I thought it looked kinda lame but after seeing another trailer I've determed it could be awesome. These two people are holed up in a hotel room and a bug infestation fucks with their mind..that's basically the plot. That may sound retarded but you have to see the trailer, looks cool. You can check it out here! Looks cool to me. Also, don't confuse this movie with the Wes Craven flick with the same name coming out next year. Wes Craven blows and I'm sure his movie with the same title will as well. This film on the other hand I think will be a cool movie. Bug comes out on December 1st.

"Saw 3": Excuse my vulgarness but everywhere I go I see people blowing their load over this movie. What the fuck? WHY? The original was alright...I'm sure the second one isn't much greater. Screw this movie. Does anyone reading this actually give a shit when Saw 3 comes out? ..Hope not.

"The Pursuit of Happyness": Wow, I want to see a Will Smith movie? Holy shit, the world must be ending. Actually..no it's not. Cause Will Smith did something smart and took a turn for the better. Instead of making those dumbass Romantic Comedies he has chosen a serious movie. From the previews this looks really emotional..I won't actually go to the theatres to see this but I do want to see it very much. I'll check it out when it comes out on DVD, etc. The Pursuit of Happyness comes out December 15th.

"Eragon": This looks good...another flick I wouldn't go and see in theatres but I am anticipating it a lot. The books are popular and the trailer looked pretty good. There was some stuff that bothered me but overall I was pretty happy with the trailer. I was actually extremely suprised as to how good the CGI looked overall. Eragon comes out December 15th.

"Letters from Iwo Jima": This is the japanese Iwo Jima flick. I can't find a release date for it for some reason but I'm pretty sure it comes out in December some time. So I'll be keeping an eye out for the release date, I'm not seeing it on IMDB at the moment and don't feel like doing an all out search. Stay tuned for the date.

Finally, my top anticipated films of the winter season:

"Pans Labyrinth": I unfortunately probably won't see this in theatres 'cause it won't be showing anywhere near me, so I will have to wait for it to come out on DVD to see it. Here's the plot from IMDB: "Relocated in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, young Ofelia (Baquero) discovers a stone labyrinth near her new home. Inside the structure, she encounters a mythical creature who tells her she's the princess who belongs to this underground world, but in order to return home, she must complete three dangerous tasks." Sound cool? I think it sounds fucking awesome and it's directed by Guillermo Del Toro..and I <3333 him. He's amazing. To bad I probably won't be able to see it until DVD release. Pans Labyrinth comes out on December 29th.

"Children of Men": I've praised this movie enough on here. Women no longer get pregnant..a miracle occurs and BAM, someone gets pregnant. Clive Owen and his characters Ex-Wife (played by Julianne Moore,) attempt to transport her to safe territory so she can safely have the child. If they do so her birth could hold the answer to why women can no longer have children. This movie looks fucking..AMAZING. It was supposed to come out September but the studio thinks it's oscar-worthy!! It's been pushed to December 29th! Unfortunately it still comes out in September world wide. =[. Lame. I'm extremely looking forward to this and I will see this in theatres..no matter what. Children of Men comes out December 29th.

I hope anyone who read this really enjoyed reading it. I put a lot of time and effort into it. Hope you guys enjoyed the awesome winter scenery as well, didn't want to use movie stuff. I wanted to spread winter cheer.. On to..THE FUTURE. Hopefully I'll have a review up in the next couple of days and some other stuff as well. Stay tuned..

Short but Sweet.

Hey guys. I have a headache again but I am going to make a quick and short post, hopefully tomorrow I will feel better. Here's we go..:

"Tora! Tora! Tora!(1970)"

I am a huge fan of war movies and I couldn't wait to watch this. It was awesome...but it's not a movie for everyone. It's actually kinda cool because it's directed by two different people. The American scenes are directed by Richard Fleischer while the Japanese scenes are directed by Kinji Fukasaku.

I think the correct term for this movie is docudrama..and that's why this movie isn't for everyone. You have to be interested in World War II. This movie basically shows you the events that lead up to Pearl Harbor and after Pearl Harbor. It's very educational but can be a bit boring if you're not interested in it. It was actually really cool to see Hideki Tojo on screen but you don't see much of him.

All the actors are good. There isn't much to say about the movie besides what I've said. Like I said though, the movie isn't for everyone but if you're interested in World War II you should definately check it out if you haven't already in the past 36 years.

IMDB Link for "Tora! Tora! Tora!"

Anyways, I'm gonna go and relax and eat and hope my damn headache goes away. I'm planning on typing up a list of my most anticipated winter season movies and I've also got two or three more movie reviews that I need to do. So stay tuned..

In the Future Rape Rocks!

There's a couple of things that are different in the future. One of them is that women are raped like..a lot...like way more then today. People wear the shortest of short shorts and wear huge goofy-ass thick rimmed glasses. Finally, teenagers wear attatchable eye lashes and everyone in the future enjoys drinking milk on furniture that is either shaped after nude women or they take dead nude women and cement them in the position so you can sit on them..

Incase you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the movie "A Clockwork Orange." I had never seen this until two nights ago and let me say..the first hour was disappointing.

"A Clockwork Orange (1971)"

This movie is set in futuristic England where Teenage boys run around at night and just do whatever the fuck they want. One gets caught due to his group turning on him and he willingly partakes in a medical procedure that will keep him from commiting ultra-violence..

So..I want to explain really quick before I really get into anything that I loved the end of this movie..I really loved the end of this movie. On first viewing though..I have heavy, heavy dislike for the first hour. For one..I don't think I'd ever hear myself saying this but here goes: There's just to much gratuitous rape/sex/nudity. Dunno if anyone agrees but once you've seen a rape, and an almost rape..I've seen enough. I wonder if maybe that's why the 3rd scene of nudity is sped up? Even though the third one is sped up...it bored the living fuck out of me and was totally taking my interest away.

The "ultra-violence" and stuff in the first hour didn't bother me at all. Just the rape..one man can only take so much rape..did I mention that in the future they have promiscuous sex like..5 times more then my generation does (which sickens the fuck out of me to begin with.) I guess Kubrick is kind of right though when it comes to that cause that's where we're heading in the future..O'Kay, more on point. Kubrick is awesome, he's always been awesome but I don't like the beginning of this movie..to me it feels like he had all this built up sexual tension and this is how he got it out. On film...

Also, what the hell is up with the eyelashes? Offhand I can't remember if they sort of explained what it was about but I don't think they did. Maybe they explain it more thoroughly in the book but I can't remember them explaining it even a bit in the flick, I just assumed it had something to do with him going out and tearing shit up at night. Which makes sense cause I can't recall seeing it after Alex gets caught thanks to his woman raping buddies turning on him and leaving him for the police..

Once Alex gets locked up the movie gets really cool though and completely turned my negativity around. He gets the procedure, all that shenannigans, comes out and has to have the shittiest luck I've ever seen. He just gets shit on by everyone and runs into all the wrong people. As someone said to me "It's hard to make someone hate a character...then feel bad for them," and they were 100% true. Kubrick does it and does it well. It's quite amazing.

The movie was resolved wonderfully too. If I have one or two other problem with this movie is that Walter/Wendy Carlos (whatever you want to call this once gender-confused whacko,) gets a lot of credit..and I really don't think he/she deserves it. A lot of the songs used are just pieces by other composers, some the same put just a bit reworked. My other problem is that I find Kubricks re-use of the same cues/themes annoying. He uses the exact same one with no different too it. I must've heard the "Title Music from A Clockwork Orange," track 4 times...i don't dig that. The best track on the soundtrack though is "March from a Clockwork Orange," but guess what? It's from Beethovens Ninth Symphony, Fourth Movement..just played all whacked on a a Moog Synthesizer or something. Who the fuck knows. I do know that some people feel different about Kubrick re-using the same music but I noticed 3 or so weeks ago when I watched "The Shining," with Robyn and I noticed it again in this damn movie..don't like it.

Overall I really like "A Clockwork Orange," and despite the extremely dark beginning and whacked out shit it's an awesome movie, especially the last hour. The last hour is..fucking genius. "A Clockwork Orange," is amazing just for the fact that this was released almost 40 years ago and how advanced feeling the movie feels. Kubrick really makes you believe your in the future. The whole movie is pretty damn good except for the beginning but I've got a feeling that will grow on me with more viewings. Overall I give it an 8 out of 10! If you're one of the few, like I was, and haven't seen this go and check it out..it's good stuff.

IMDB link for "A Clockwork Orange."

If you check out the Trivia on IMDB there's some really interesting stuff on there. Usually directors trademarks are posted in the trivia section aswell, which brings me to my next point. Some directors have trademarks that are seen in their films such as Spielberg has one where he shoots something occuring in a mirror. In the second half of "A Clockwork Orange," there's a part that set off a light bulb above my head. Well, I think I've discovered a Kubrick trademark. I will have to one day re-check the rest of his movies but in "A Clockwork Orange," and "The Shining," there are people making the most ridiculous faces ever. In "The Shining," it's Danny. In "A Clockwork Orange," it's the paralyzed guy with quite possibly the gayest assistant ever. You can see the shot to the right, click it for a bigger view. I haven't seen ALL of Kubricks movies yet so until then let me know if you can think any other occurances of this if you know any.

Anyways, I hope this review was much better and at least a bit funny. I worked hard on this one while I listened to the soundtrack for "A Clockwork Orange." I will maybe have something up later tonight. Until then you shoud all go and participate in some ultra-violence.

Mediocre News.

The news is that the 2005 version of Bad News Bears doesn't suck. Wait, there's bad news too. The bad news is that I had a whole fucking post typed out, and then my computer crapped out on me. Thanks Blogger..for saving a draft of my post just without anything inside of it. That makes PERFECT sense. I swear to god I'm so annoyed right now. ANYWAYS, FOR THE SECOND FUCKING TIME.

"Bad News Bears (2005)"

This post isn't gonna be that long because I'm afraid I'm going to confuse this with "Benchwarmers," which are basically almost the same shit just a tad different.

Billy Bob Thornton plays the coach of a little league team only he's an alcoholic kinda' guy who doesn't care..you know the story. Yeah, he has the role down perfectly. He did it in "Bad Santa," and it worked and it suprisingly works in here too. I thought it would be boring and overplayed but it wasn't. Dunno if it will work again though.

The kids are all pretty funny..the pitcher they found is a terrible actor. They went out of their way to find a girl who was goodlooking and could pitch and evidently she's the best they could find..and she isn't that good looking. Evidently there's a lot of ugly women pitchers out there.

The tough guy rebel who joins the team later on is a terrible actor too. The way they show that he's a rebel is TERRIBLE. During the middle of a game he drives onto the field on a dirtbike or something and it just feels out of place and retarded..like why would you do that? Just..why? I've never seen the original but this is how they do it in the remake..and it's terrible.

There's three really funny kids that I can remember. One is a foulmouth kid who's sort of a smart-ass. There's one who doesn't really want to play...like he just doesn't care..really funny stuff. The other one I won't ruin..the other one is a bit silly but, whatever. I won't ruin it anyways, you'll know it when you see it.

Anyways, overall I rate the movie a 6/10. It's mediocre, just above average. I've never seen the original flick but will very soon. Got it on my Netflix list.

IMDB link for "Bad News Bears."

Wow...after posting this and checking the IMDB page I noticed right now the average rating is exactly what I gave it. Is that good..or bad? I also just checked Rotten Tomatoes and they too have a 6 out of 10. I think that speaks well for my skills in judging flicks. Does it? Dunno..Feedback?

Anyways, sorry for such a shitty update. I'm not feeling great and am about to go lay down. In the meantime you can add me on your Netflix list if you want by using the E-Mail address Bagtatta@optonline.net. You can then glance through my almost full queue. It would be full but I have to start adding things again..I have a whole list of things to add. Once again, sorry for the shitty post. Don't worry, I'll post later on with something funny and interesting probably if I feel better.

Oscar Worthy?

Remember this movie? I made a post about this about a month and a half ago after the trailer first appeared. Don't remember? Well let me explain real quick!

"Children of Men," is a movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron. The plot is simple: In the future women lose the ability to have children. The end is slowly approaching. Then a woman is discovered to be pregnant! If the woman gives birth it could help scientists figure out why women no longer can have children so Theo Faron teams up with his ex-wife to protect her..

So I was extremely psyched for this movie. The trailer was amazing and just..everything about the movie looked amazing to me. So..this was supposed to come out this month. I was thinking about it today and was wondering if there was going to be a soundtrack release cause I would totally buy it. There isn't..

PLUS, the movies been pushed back to December 25th, but only in the US and Canada. I hope this is why there's no soundtrack release..maybe. I really hope it gets one, I'm incredibly interested in it. Anyways, the damn movie has been pushed back to December 25th. Evidently they think the movie could win someone an oscar. I hope so. It looks like it just might deserve it. Hopefully it will deliver, I'm REALLY REALLY hoping it does..

I will have something posted late tonight before I go to bed. Review of something. In the meantime you can waste 2 minutes watching the "Children of Men," trailer if you would like. Click here for the awesomeness! It's a really damn good trailer..I'll be back later tonight after I get out of godamn work. Arg! Enjoy..

I Can't Swim...

For those reasons..I would never be able to do this movie. I found myself even being a bit, excuse my lameness here but "squirmy," during one of the underwater scenes. So, sometime over the summer I went and saw the movie "Lady in the Water," with Robyn. We actually went and saw "The Village," in 2004 together and she hated it and I came out of it with mixed feelings. Rewatching it at home I like it, but don't love it. I think it has grown on her as well from seeing it on HBO. She should leave a comment and let me know..I can remember her telling me something about it and how she always watches it but I can't remember what exactly it was she said..that's besides the point. We went and saw....

"Lady in the Water (2006)"

The outcome? I liked it, but thought it had a lot of problems. She liked it a lot, maybz she thought it had problems too, but she really liked it. She was even saying how she liked the score..which..I don't think I would've ever imagined her saying..but that's a different story. "Lady in the Water," is a fantasy/comedy/family movie about a Apartment Complex superintendant (played by Paul Giamatti,) who one night finds this woman named Story in the pool (played by Bryce Dallas Howard.) We then learn that she's a character from a bedtime story and he tries to help her get back to her homeworld while these animals try to kill her. Also she is trying to help save the human race. She has to talk a certain person and make sure something is done..I can't 100% remember EXACTLY what the plot was but that's the basic drift.

Paul Giamatti is great in the movie, I love Giamatti. My only problem was I found myself constantly thinking of "Pig Vomit," from "Private Parts." Dunno..just kept making me laugh. Bryce Dallas Howard is alright too. It's really the rest of the cast that is mediocre..there's a couple of apartment renters that you get to know. A chinese family, a mother and daughter. A guy who's only lifting weights on one side of his body. A dude who likes to do puzzels, a book author and his wife and finally the newest one a movie critic. The bodybuilder guy is O'Kay..the rest of them, so/so.

Here's what bugs me...and it has to do with the two chinese idiots in the flick: Giamatti goes to them to learn the whole "Bed time story," and she won't tell him unless he acts like a kid. This is funny at first but it carries on for way to long, and he visits the chinese family like 3 times to hear the story, a different part each time..it just gets ANNOYING. You're gonna tell me that this is the only way he can figure out about this shit? -Thinks.- How about this wonderful thing invented by the military known as the Intraweb? Or the fucking LIBRARY. I was really not happy with the way they handled the "unraveling," of the story.

Another complaint? It's minor..Shyamalan isn't a GREAT actor but I also don't think he's a terrible actor like everyone says he is. He usually only puts himself in somewhat small/minor roles but in this one he plays a big character and it works..but it also doesn't. I don't know, Shyamalan should stick to directing and not acting.

Almost everywhere I go to read about this movie a majority of the people hated it, which is a shame because the movie as usual was marketed TOTALLY WRONG. Everyone markets a M. Night Shyamalan flick like it's a horror. This movie had one jump scene in it...It was more of a sci-fi/fantasy/comedy/family film. I do think Shyamalans writing has gone downhill a bit more with each film, maybe he shouldn't write his next flick..He is a very creative guy though, I give him credit alone for doing something original.

Finally...the score is awesome, like always. Shyamalan always gets James Newton Howard to score his flicks and the scores are almost always completely amazing...

Also: I had a problem with the poster I used in the beginning of the post before the movie came out because I felt it didn't explain the plot much..buch after seeing the movie I've come to like that one much better then the other poster that you can see here. That blue one is nice but..it feels ugly to me and everything is jammed in there, it just feels messy to me..Back to the movie.

So what am I getting at? I like Shyamalan and MOST of his work and I liked it...most people didn't. If I had to give it a numerical rating I would give it a three and a half out of five. If you're into movies, check it out..just for the hell of it. It may suprise you..

Coming soon: If I had more people who read this I would let you all choose what I would post next..but here's what I have mentally "backlogged." "The Ringer," "Bad News Bears (2005)", "The Godfather," "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and "Domino." The smart thing would've been to write reviews at the time and just post it later but, I'm a moron..so. Wow, after re-reading this I made a lot of factual screw-ups including the wrong year for the release of "Lady in the Water," which I just saw about a month and a half ago.. All fixed now..

Lots of Transformer Leakage Lately

So while I've been gone within' the past month or so there has been a lot of leaked stuff coming in from "Transformers". I think half of the Transformers in the movie have been seen in some sort of manner. Where they're concept design or like we've seen "Bumblebee," as a fullscale prop. There has been some leakage of Prime but not much. Lately there's been a lot of Prime stuff coming in though..

In this post you will see some new pictures that were released today as you can see from the picture to the left. Double click them for bigger shots, I had to shrink them due to the short post. Made the post look retarded. Anyways, thanks to Ain't It Cool News for the brand new pictures.

Personally I like what I see. Prime looks cool and for the most part a bunch of the other shots I've seen look cool. Maybe later on I'll dig them up if I have the time and post em' on here. I think Prime looks really cool although, not cool enough for me to go and see the flick. Maybe when I see the transformers in motion but for now..I'm impressed but not to impressed.

A lot of people care about the Transformers and evidently from all the leaks people are not happy. I say, "Shut the fuck up." Fanboys piss me off. I'm not a huge Transformers fan and from what I'm seeing they look pretty damn cool. -I like them. Michal Bay can do action good so lets just hope he can make something decent out of this...I haven't seen "The Island," which I heard was mediocre. I need to check it out, but I've seen pretty much the rest of Bays flicks and he's good for a fun action flick. -Shrugs.- I think Bay could do a decent job.

I'm not a Transformers fan but I'm rooting for Bay to make a decent flick. To bad we have to wait almost a year to actually see it..If anyones interested heres the IMDB link for "Transformers."

Anyways, I'll have something up later tonight probably. I've got some last minute stuff I need to get done before school tomorrow, so...We'll see. I think I'll have something up here though.

The Benchwarmers (2006)

I've been waiting to type this out for a long time so please excuse me if it's not that great. Anyways this is the first movie out of Adam Sandlers production company besides "50 First Dates" that to me hasn't sucked 100%.

This has David Spade, Rob Schneider and Jon Heder in it playing a couple of grown up dudes. Schnieder likes baseball and the other two suck at it. Suprisingly I didn't find Rob Schneider to be that bad with his acting in this flick. There were some cringeworthy cliche moments but overall I found the acting somewhat decent all around...I did watch this very late at night though, so.

Schneider's married and attempting to have kids and the other two are basically losers. They somehow end up in a junion baseball league against a shitload of kids..So yeah it's 30 year olds vs. 13 year olds. -Shrugs.- Jon Lovitz plays a character who 50% of the time I hated and 50% of the time I loved. He's this nerdie guy who after High School became rich. Through one of the ball players our team of benchwarmers meets up with this guy and he funds their team. Of course the team of Benwarmers have a rival team run by some douche bag....of course in the end they go up against the rival team. There's also a subplot about how kids get bullied around and the "hidden past," of Schneiders character. It's actually quite silly..he doesn't want his kids to get bullied around in school and stuff..It's retarded.

This movie..was somewhat funny. It had me laughing, unlike most of the other Happy Madison films. "50 First Dates," is more drama then comedy I think. If it is comedy, then the comedy sucks and isn't funny. I'm straying from the point though. The character Lovitz plays is probably the least funniest to me. He's a nerd who gets rich as I explained earlier but he has his own Robot and all geek shit like a replica of the Knight Rider car. Stuff that sounds funny on paper but when you put it on screen..it's really not funny.

Anyways..The movie was better then I thought it was going ot be. I was expecting complete garbage and what I got was almost garbage. The movies a rental, nothing more..

Please do read my previous post about Steve Irwin and his unfortunate and untimely death. Very rarely does the death of a "celeb" bother me but this is just really sad if you ask me. Anyways...what's coming up next?

Coming soon: I have so much shit to review..It depends on what I feel like doing next. Hmm, I think it will be "Lady in the Water."

...A Sad Day..

Today: September the 4th, of the year 2006 Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter has been killed when he was stung by a "Stingray Barb." Technically this is MOVIE NEWS as well seeing how Steve Irwin starred in a movie about..hunting Crocodiles or something of that nature. It doesn't matter, I would be posting this anyways because I love Steve Irwin..

Here is an article from CNN.This truly is sad.. This new makes me seriously want to cry. Why?

Because..if anyone here ever watches Conan O'Brien chances are you've seen Steve Irwin on the show. He's always the BEST GUEST he's just such a nice guy. He's crazy, but funny at the same time. I can remember, in High School I had a decent sleeping schedule and I would lay down with the T.V. on and listen to Leno and Conan, sometimes watch but mostly listen cause of lame-ass contacts/glasses. Anyways I would always make it a point to try and stay up just so I could see him on the show cause he was that entertaining.

If you've ever watched his show on Cable as well he is just a crazy guy. I will confess I've only watched his cable show once or twice with Robyn and they were trying to find a huge-ass Crocodile and it took like 3 dudes to take it down but you could tell he was a fun dude and he was having fun doing what he was doing.

He also owned a Zoo and put TONS of money towards wildlife conservation. The man cared extremely for animals of all kind and would do the craziest shit just for us to get glances of them and for him to teach us about them. Ughhh, this is so sad.

It took me a couple of minutes to find a picture where he wasn't being himself and just being a complete doofus, and he still sort of is in the picture I chose.. He reminds me of a damn kid..like he still had a bit of kid inside of him. Ugh, what a complete shame. Very rarely will you find me sound about such a situation but I'm am completely shocked and upset over this..

Even though this story does not seem to be I am seriously hoping this is misreported but if isn't I send my condolences out to the Irwin family even though they're not going to care what I have to say.

R.I.P Steve Irwin

F..

Is for failure! I have failed at the intraweb. According to that picture my name is Jess and I cheated with Sara, total liez. Due to my website project coming to a halt due to a ton of shit, I am now going to begin posting on here again. I'm back Blogger you P.O.S..I'm back. (What's this I hear about a new version..why am I not on it! -Screams and cries!-)

Movie reviews and all kinds of backlogged bullshit coming your way. This is my shameful return as a failed website owner/runner..for now. I'll have more of an update later today.
